Paul Maurice Beaulieu

Paul Maurice Beaulieu, 85, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died Monday, July 9, 2007, at the Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of Claire T. (Roy) Beaulieu.
Born in Lowell on November 18, 1921, he was a son of the late Hector and Julie (Belley) Beaulieu.
Mr. Beaulieu served with the United States Air Corps. During World War II and was a recipient of the Air Medal. He was also a member of the Caterpillar Club.
He had been the owner/president of the Modern Furniture Store located on Merrimack Street.
He was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne D'Arc Church and had been a member of the Holy Name Bowling League.
He was a current parishioner of St. Francis Church in Dracut.
He was a member of the Pawtucketville Social Club and had been a pitcher for the club's softball team.
He enjoyed travelling with his wife and they travelled extensively around the world.
In addition to his wife he leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Celeste and John McClain of Quincy; a brother-in-law, Raymond Roy and his wife Carmen of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister-in-law, Doris Roy of Acton; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a dear friend, Rev. Herve Gagnon, O.M.I. of Lowell.He was the father of the late Denise Beaulieu.
