Paul D. Basnett, Sr.

Lowell- Paul D. Basnett, Sr., a Centralville resident, died Sunday at his home. He was 54 years old. Born in Lowell on March 2, 1950, he was a son of the late William and Catherine (Soucy) Basnett. He was educated in Lowell Schools and had worked as a carpenter and furniture builder. Mr. Basnett enjoyed fishing and loved his grandsons. Surviving Mr. Basnett are his fianc�e Elizabeth "Beth" Trottier of Lowell; three sons, Paul D. Basnett, Jr. and his fianc�e Kelly Thomson, Shawn T. Basnett and his wife Kristen (Lynch), and Derek B. Basnett all of Lowell; three brothers, William Basnett of Billerica, Ronnie Basnett and his wife Carole of Dracut, and Michael Basnett and his wife Paula of Lowell; a sister Maureen Michaud and her husband Sgt. Brian Michaud of Nashua, NH, now serving with the U.S. Army Reserves in Iraq; three grandsons, Ryan Basnett, Joshua Basnett, and Mark Basnett all of Lowell; his dear friends Benjamin and Suzanne Trottier ; Also surviving Mr. Basnett are several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mr. Basnett is also survived by his former wife Jean (Webster) (Basnett) Fultz of Lowell.
