Patricia M. Kirby

Patricia M. “Patty” Kirby, age 62, a longtime resident of Lowell, suddenly passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on Sunday, August 13, 2023 due to complications with C.O.P.D. at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter D. Jones, Sr., until his passing in 2022.

She was born in Boston on October 10, 1960 and was a daughter of the late Patricia M. (Kelly) and John T. Kirby. She worked 20 years as a machine operator at Precise industries and made many great friendships with her co-workers.

Patty was all about her family and enjoying the company of her grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo and trips to the casino with her sister and dear friend Papa Dehney on Sunday’s. She loved spending time with her very protective little/big brothers, always joking around lovingly and having plenty of laughs. They could pick on her and tease her but nobody else better! If you needed a patch or something repaired Patty was always there with her needle and thread. And quite the doodler on any piece of paper that was laying around.

Patty is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Catherine Jones and her husband Georgie Alcantaro of Lowell; her son, Peter D. Jones, Jr. and his wife Kayleigh of Nashua, NH; her seven grandchildren, Peter D. Jones, III and his wife Marzely, Emily Jones, Macayla Jones, Celeb Jones, Alisia Alcantaro, little Georgie Alcantaro and Javian Alcantaro; her three great-grandchildren, Zayvian, Melina and Daxon; her sister, Karen Kirby and her fiancé, Chuck Dehney of Pelham, NH; her three brothers, Thomas Kirby and his wife Isabel of Dracut, Christopher Kirby and his wife Jessica of Lowell and Timothy Kirby and his wife Romy of Switzerland; her nieces and nephews, Jenny, Jaime, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Hailey, Angelina, Elena, Annaliyah, Keishla, Amelia, Riley, Christopher. Jr., Tommy Jr., Joshua, Mathew, Connor, John-John, Jacob, Austin, Dylan, Aiden, Mason, Ethan, Nathan, Tito, Charlie, Meghan and Matt; her beloved Aunt Mary and her late husband, Sal Aia; her sisters-in-law, Mary Ileen and her fiancé Authur, Katie Bailey (sister at heart,) Alice Strykowski and her late husband, Bob and Sheila and her husband Steve Hamel; as well as many other cousins, aunt, uncles and dear friends that became family.

She is predeceased by her brother, John Thomas Kirby, Jr. and her brother-in-law, Bobby Jones.

Relatives and friends are invited to Patty’s Life Celebration on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 2 until 6 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell.
