LOWELL - Patricia M. (Carrigg) Dailey, age 91, a longtime resident of the Christian Hill Section of Lowell died Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. Dailey, Sr. who died in 1998.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 24, 1932, and was a daughter of the late John and Alice (Rodrigue) Carrigg. She received her education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Prior to her retirement, Pat was employed for 25 years as an admissions advisor at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
She was a longtime, active communicant of St. Michael Church in Lowell and was awarded the “Pillar of the Parish” for her service to the church.
Pat was a very giving woman and volunteered much of her time to the church and her community. She was a member and past treasurer of the St. Vincent de Paul Society - St. Michael Church Conference. Pat was the first female recipient of the “Top Hat Award” by the Massachusetts Archdiocese at the Park Plaza in Boston for her service of those in need. She was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and League of Catholic Women and volunteered at the Community Table and was past president of the Lowell Girls Softball.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland and watching her grandchildren.
Pat is survived by two daughters, Judith MacNeil and her husband Richard of Hudson, NH and Pamela Putnam and her husband Ken of Pelham, NH; two daughter-in-law, Donna Dailey of Pelham, NH and Gisele Dailey of Wilton, NH; eight grandchildren, Ronald Geoffroy of Auburn, NH, Daniel Geoffroy and his wife Jennifer of Dracut, Andrew Dailey and his wife Heather of Lowell, Amanda Comire of S. Kingstown, RI, Alexander Dailey of MD, Stephen Dailey of Los Angeles, CA, and Lauryn Putnam and Alyson Putnam, both of Pelham, NH; six great grandchildren, Kailey, Kaydence, Madyson, Owen, Austin and Cody; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late, Charles R. Dailey, Jr., Harry Dailey, John Dailey, Karen Geoffroy and Brenda Dailey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Pat’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30am at St. Michael Church in Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society - St. Michael Church Conference, 543 Bridge St., Lowell, MA 01850.
