Patricia A. (Surprenant) Chandonnet

DRACUT - Patricia A. (Surprenant) Chandonnet, 78, a longtime resident of Dracut died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry J. Chandonnet, with whom she celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary last September, prior to his death on October 5th, 2016.

She was born in Lowell on April 21, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Marie Ange (Laferrier) Surprenant. She received her education in Lowell schools.

Patricia spent her life tending to the needs of her home and family.

She enjoyed playing computer games, taking trips to Mohegan Sun, and lottery scratch tickets. Her greatest joy came from spending time in the company of her loving family, especially her adoring grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Chandonnet) Johnson of Lowell; a son, Roger Chandonnet and his wife Susan of Amesbury; seven grandchildren, Anne-Marie LaPointe of Dracut, Christopher Johnson of Woburn, Stacy (Johnson) Davenport and her husband James of Tyngsboro, Jason Chandonnet of Rowley, Justin Chandonnet and his wife Nicole of Amesbury, Kelsey Chandonnet of Georgetown, and Matthew Chandonnet of North Carolina; eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Russell Chandonnet, and the mother-in-law of the late Richard Johnson. She was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
