Peabody - Patricia P. (Piotrowski) Cameron, beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Cameron, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the age of 94.
Pat was born in Perth Amboy, NJ on January 15, 1932, to John and Sally Piotrowski and grew up in New Jersey. It was there that she met Joseph. They shared 57 years of marriage before Joe’s passing in 2012, building a life rooted in love, and family.
When Joe’s work brought them to Massachusetts, Pat and Joe settled in Boxford to raise their family. They later lived in Rockport before making their home at Brooksby Village, where Pat became an active and cherished member of the community.
Pat had a deep appreciation for beauty and learning. She was an avid reader and loved the symphony and opera. She found joy in sewing, quilting, and lively games of mahjong with friends. Pat and Joe especially treasured their travels together and time spent by the ocean, which always held a special place in her heart.
Giving back came naturally to Pat. She volunteered her time generously at local schools, libraries, and hospitals, assisted at the chapel, and served as secretary of the Treasure Chest at Brooksby Village. Her quiet dedication and willingness to help were felt by many.
A lifelong learner, Pat believed deeply in the power of education. At the age of 50, she proudly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Merrimack College. Prior to retiring, she worked as a buyer at Watts Regulator.
Above all else, Pat loved her family and friends. She delighted in family gatherings, summers by the ocean in New Jersey, and evenings of good food and laughter at the dinner theater with her friends.
Pat is survived by her children and their spouses, John Cameron and Ann Conneman of Gloucester, and Nancy Cameron and Andrew Marresse of Boxford; her cousin Anita Fodor of North Carolina; nieces Kathy Cunha and Karen DiStefano, both of North Carolina, Cindy Gurchak of Illinois; and many beloved members of the Cameron family. She was also the cherished cousin and best friend of the late Rita Peterson.
