Normand J. Arseneault

October 31, 1938 — February 18, 2015

Normand J. Arseneault, 76, of Lowell, passed away after a brief illness on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus, with his family and friends by his side.

He was born on October 31, 1938, in Lowell, Massachusetts, to the late Arthur and Alma (Pare) Arseneault. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years Dale J. (Dillavou) Arseneault, and his beautiful children and their spouses: Brian and Maria (Leite) Arseneault, Matthew Arseneault and Bonnie (Caggianelli), and Michelle Arseneault; his loving grandchildren: Veronica Arseneault, Anthony J. Caggianelli, Hailee, Cody, Anna Arseneault and Max Leite.

He was a communicant of St. Michael's Church where he was a member of the choir and a Eucharistic minister until he had a stroke in 1996. For 35 years he was a devoted and well-respected employee as an orthopedic technician at St. John's Hospital, where he met and courted his wife.

He was an avid fan of New England sports teams and you would always see him donning his favorite Red Sox cap. He loved to sing, cook, bake, garden and "CLEAN". He would always lend a helping hand and ensured neighborhood kids had a bag of treats. After all, being born on Halloween, he had a sweet tooth. No matter where he went, he was always the life of the party and made his presence known.

He is also survived by his brothers Robert and his wife Sylvia Arseneault of East Hampstead, New Hampshire, Paul and wife Sandra Arseneault of Tyngsboro, Ron and his wife Dee Arseneault of Lowell, and Richard and his wife Anne Arseneault of Pelham, New Hampshire, and His sister-in-law Pearl Arseneault of Nashua, New Hampshire He was predeceased by his brothers Edmund and Roger and sisters Lorraine and Jeanne. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
