Lowell – Norman S. Forbes, Jr., the beloved husband of Linda D. Richardson, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Monday April 4, 2011, He was 71.
Norman was born in Medford on March 2, 1940, a son of the Late Norman S. and Hazel (Pritchard) Forbes. He had resided in Lowell for many years.
Norman was a truck driver who loved his work. He worked constantly, driving for over 20 years at DaSilva Trans. He also worked at carnivals in his spare time. Norman also enjoyed working on cars. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 25. He also served our Country in the U.S. Army.
Surviving him besides his wife are two daughters and a son in law, Bambi and Robert Cummings of Manchester, NH, Brenda Forbes of FL, a stepdaughter, Lisa Hatch of NH; a stepson and daughter in law, Paul and Tina Hatch of Lynn; six grandchildren, Steven Cummings, Casey Cummings, Tyler Cummings, Timothy Riley, Anthony Oliver, Katelyn Forbes; three great grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Hazel Kelley, John Forbes, Mary Lee, William Forbes all of Lynn; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late James Forbes and brother of the late Thomas Forbes.
