Norman E. Croft, Jr., 69, a resident of Dracut, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, August 13, 2016. He was the husband of the late Theresa L. (Rousseau) Croft.
Born in Malden, on October 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Norman E. Croft, Sr. and Ruth (Dempsey) Croft of Ormond Beach, FL who survives him
In addition to his mother he leaves two children, Thomas R. Croft and Susan Marie Wilson and her husband Mark, all of No. Andover; two grandchildren, John Thomas Wilson and Michael James Wilson, both of No. Andover; siblings, Robert Croft, James Croft, Ruth Comeau, Eileen Croft, Margaret Croft, Mary Curtin, and Catherine Holstein; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his girlfriend and best friend, Eileen Grenon of Dracut. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Wentzel.
Prior to his retirement in 2006, Mr. Croft was employed by the Boston Globe Newspaper as a typesetter. Although his greatest joy of his career was in retirement.
His interests included photography, gardening and fishing. He was a New England Sports Fan, enjoying the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics. He was also an avid movie watcher, loving the classic westerns and was a great science fiction fan. His greatest passion in life was his family and loved ones. He spent a large part of his past few years with Eileen taking on great adventures. He was known to be "all-in" whenever a new, fun activity presented itself. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, of whom he was so proud.
