Nancy Lee Maille

Nancy Lee (Stebbins) Maille, age 82, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Claude P. Maille.

Born in Lawrence on June 17, 1944, but raised in Methuen, she was the daughter of the late Mae Beda (Lee) and Arnold William Stebbins. She graduated in 1962, from Tenney High School, during which time she met the love of her life, Chick Maille, who proceeded to whisk Nancy away to Lowell, where she continued the rest of her 64 years living and loving life the only way she knew how…with purpose and intensity grabbing as much of life as she could and endlessly giving back to others, which could be seen in her various jobs.

Nancy started her career as an ER technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital followed by A-Medic Ambulance, as Lowell's first female EMT and also as office manager. Next, she became office manager of Bain Pest Control all along the way meeting and forming many friendships.

Her love of creativity and crocheting led to many works of art that she gave away freely and with so much love for the recipients. Her love for fun and appreciation of beauty led her to Flowers By Albert...a mainstay in Lowell. Each job she exercised professionalism, expertise and untapped knowledge. This was Nancy...a force to be reckoned with.

Nancy is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Deborah Maille-Adams and her husband, Michael of Goshen, NH, Cynthia Soby and her husband, David of Plymouth and Scott Maille and his wife, Lisa of Lowell; her four grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her sister, Susan Stebbins Neal; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Mark D. Maille and sister of the late William (Billy) Stebbins.

It being Nancy’s request, all funeral services will be private.
