Michael P. Hoar, 65, died at his Lowell residence on Sunday, February 14, 2016, following a period of declining health.
Born In Lowell on June 17, 1950, he was a son of the late George F. "Buddy" Hoar and Pauline (Landry) Hoar of Lowell who survives him.
Michael was a Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
He had a passion for electronics and worked for many years in electronics assembly at Merrimack Magnetics.
Michael studied WWII and had read innumerable books on the subject. He enjoyed building and launching model rockets.
Surviving him besides his mother are a daughter Jessica Oar of Andover; three grandchildren, Malachi, Bella, Santino; a sister and brother in law, Constance and Roland Dinsmore of Lowell; two brothers and a sister on law, Thomas Hoar of Nashua, NH, Dennis and Barbara Hoar of Dunstable; and several nieces and nephews.
