Michael L. "Mike" Goyette

August 17, 1960 — December 24, 2014

– Michael L. "Mike" Goyette, 54, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at a local healthcare facility following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lowell on August 17, 1960, he was the beloved son of Peter J. Goyette, Sr. of Dracut who survives him and the late Theresa A. "Dolly" (Kelleher) Goyette.
Mike was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1979, and since 1995 was employed by the Lowell Housing Authority.
He was a member of the East End Social Club and served on the Executive Board of the Polish American Veterans Club. He was also a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Dracut Council 4225.
He was a lifelong communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.
In addition to his father he is survived by his daughter, Deanna R. Goyette of Lowell whom he adored and was his pride and joy; his brother, Peter J. Goyette, Jr. and his wife Sharon M. (Ralls) of Lowell; two nephews, Matthew R. and Shane G. Goyette of Lowell; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was the former husband of Kelly (Corcoran) Goyette and also leaves behind a dear friend and companion in Laurie Connolly.
Mike loved the outdoors especially snowmobiling in the White Mountains, time spent with family and friends at the beach, and most importantly, the camping trips that he took with his daughter.
Mike was known for working with his hands and in his spare time enjoyed tackling any home improvement project whether it be small or large.
Mike will be remembered for his back breaking hugs that he gave when he greeted you, his great sense of humor, and Irish wit. He could bring you to tears of laughter as he told you priceless stories of days past.
He will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of those that he touched.
