LOWELL - Mercedes (Lopez DeVictoria) Medina, age 70, a longtime resident of Lowell and former resident of the Bronx, NY died Thursday, August 8, 2021 at Palm Center in Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife of the late Jesus Medina who died in 2013 and was the love of her life.
She was born in the Bronx, NY on September 24, 2021 and was a daughter of the late William and Dolores (Rodriguez) Lopez DeVictoria. She attended school in the Bronx and earned her Associates Degree from The Berkley School.
Mercedes spent most of her life tending to the needs of her home and family.
She was a devout Christian and a talented singer. Her greatest joy was spending time in the company of her loving family and friends.
Mercedes is survived by her three children, Jerry Medina and his wife Doris of Lowell and with whom she resided, Yvette Aviles and her husband Marco of Davenport, FL, and Elizabeth Medina and her fiancé Marcos Suro of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren, including Michael Rivera, who was like a son to her; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Lydia Perez and her husband James of GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mercedes' Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Tuesday, August 10th from 3:00 until 7:00pm.
