Maurice Leo "Moe" Pelletier (loving referred to as Papoo) and a resident of Pelham, NH passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was 87 years young.
Born in Lowell, MA he served as Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp, Korean War. Later, he earned a degree in Criminal Justice at Northeastern University. He secured a job at the Lowell Police Department and then accepted a position on the Vice Squad. He retired as a Police Officer in 1992.
Moe's pride and joy were his family. Together, he and Claire created a strong family bond of togetherness and unconditional love.
To his family, he was their rock. Fun, loving, kind, ever-present and steadfast – always making the best of every situation.
To his friends, he was the life of the party – full of fun and laughter.
Moe was passionate about helping Family, friends, neighbors and others in the community. He supported local Veterans through fundraisers and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Moe is survived by his wife of 67 years, Claire (Lapierre) Pelletier. His brother Ronald Pelletier. Two sons, Michael Pelletier (girlfriend Melissa Payelian); Brian Pelletier (wife Maricel). Two daughters, Lynn (Pelletier) Gannon (husband Keith) and Deborah (Pelletier) Cadigan (husband Glenn). Eight grandchildren: Tiffany, Sarah, Kevin, Zachary, Joshua, Seth, Noah and Jesse. Six great grandchildren: Dylan, Jonathan, Kaleigh, JayLee, Kailynn and Everly.
He will forever be remembered by those who knew him for the mischievous twinkle in his eyes, his playful spirit and his abundance of Love.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Moe's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Friday, September 3rd from 5:00 until 8:00pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 4th at 10:00am at St. Patrick Church in Pelham, NH. Burial in Gibson Cemetery in Pelham, NH.
