CHARLOTTE HARBOR, FLORIDA - Maurice D. Mainville, 81, a resident of Charlotte Harbor, Florida, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Charlotte Medical Center in Punta Gorda, Florida. He was the husband of the late Laurette (Bergeron) Mainville.
Born in Lowell on May 18, 1925, he was a son of the late Hector and Alice (Millette) Mainville.
Mr. Mainville was a long time resident of Dracut and was a graduate of Dracut High School. He had resided in Nashua, NH before moving to Florida several years ago.
He was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Raytheon Corporation of South Lowell as a final inspector. He had been a member of the IBEW Local 1505.
He was formerly a member of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut and had also belonged to the American Legion, Post 48 of Hudson, NH and the Centralville Social Club.
He was currently a member of the Port Charlotte American Legion, Post 110.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard M. and Beverly Mainville of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bruce Gabaree of Belmont, NH; two sisters, Doris Carbonneau and her husband Edward and Claire Beaulieu, all of Dracut; five grandchildren, Eric Gabaree of Northboro, Steven Gabaree of Manchester, NH, Michelle Murphy and her husband John of Dunbarton, NH, Kristi Mainville of Point Pleasant, West Virginia and Richard Mainville of Columbus, OH; eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Yvette Mainville of Lowell. He was a brother of the late Lucien Mainville and Jeanne Guillemette and brother-in-law of the late Alfred Beaulieu.
