Maureen F. McInerney … beloved sister, aunt, great aunt
LOWELL - Maureen F. McInerney, 86, a life-long resident of Lowell, passed away on Sunday, June 8, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Lowell on April 6,1939, she was a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Smith) McInerney.
Maureen was a graduate of St. Patrick Grammar School and Keith Hall High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Raytheon Corporation as an administrative secretary, following 40 years of service.
She was a long-time communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and was a member of the Parish Women’s Guild as well as the Catholic Daughter’s of America.
Proud of her Irish Heritage, Maureen was an active member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, (LAOH).
She leaves a sister, Joanna McInerney of Harwich; a nephew, David A. Soulard and his wife Leanne (Squeglia) of Providence, RI; a niece, Monica A. Brown and her husband William of Burlington; two grandnephews, Liam and Ryan Brown, both of Burlington; as well as several cousins. She also leaves her dear friend, Irene Defreitas of Lowell.
Maureen was a sister of the late Eileen A. Soulard and her husband Eugene.
Relatives and friends are invited to Maureen’s Visitation on Saturday morning from 9 until 10:15 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society: donate.cancer.org
