Dracut - Maryann T. (Cronin) Whittingham, a Dracut resident formerly of Andover and Brighton passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016, following a period of declining health. She was 67.
Born in Boston on July 10, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Burke) Cronin.
Maryann was employed for 21 years as an office manager for the Town of Andover. She worked in the planning department and in the town manager's office. Maryann received an award from the town for her hard work and dedication.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland, where she visited several times with her brothers.
Maryann cherished her family, particularly her grandchildren. She loved being their "Nanny".
Maryann was a hard worker, who was always helpful and generous. Always willing to lend a hand.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Kevin and Jessica Whittingham of Dracut; two grandchildren, Kathleen Maryann Whittingham, Sean Wilson Geoffrey Whittingham; three brothers and two sisters in law, Paul and Maryellen Cronin, James and Edwina Cronin all of Westport, John Cronin of Lynn; a cousin and dear friend Ann Williams of Dedham.
