LOWELL - Mary E. (Murray) McOsker, 92, a resident of the Christian Hill Neighborhood in the Centralville section of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at a local healthcare facility. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick L. McOsker.
Born in Lowell, on July 2, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Bartholomew F. and Elizabeth (Greeley) Murray.
She was a long time communicant of St. Michael Church and was a member of the League of Catholic Women.
Prior to her retirement in 1986, she was employed as a secretary by the Massachusetts Electric Company in the Lowell office.
Proud of her Irish heritage, Mary enjoyed many trips to Ireland.
She leaves two step sons, Thomas McOsker and his wife Cynthia of So. Portland, ME and Frederick McOsker of Nashua, NH; three step daughters, Joanne Duggan and her husband Thomas of Chelmsford, Brenda Dupras of Lowell and Martha Dean and her husband Jeffrey of Northbridge; three sisters-in-law, Sr. Charles Francis, O.P. of Kentucky, Rosemary McOsker of Lowell and Marion Chesemore of Pelham, NH; a nephew, Michael P. Murray of Providence, RI; a niece, Beth Madden of Lowell; 13 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her siblings; Rev. James S. Murray, O.P. and Francis F. Murray and his wife Sheila; her step daughter-in-law, Jane McOsker; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Charles McOsker, Alice Murphy and her husband Daniel, Theresa McOsker, Francis McOsker and his wife Marjorie and Sr. Rose Francis, O.P.
