Mary Lou Carroll

Miss Mary Lou Carroll of Dracut, MA died on Wednesday October 16, 2013 Willow Manor in Lowell. She was 86.
Born in Lowell on March 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Kiernan) Carroll.
Miss Carroll was a graduate of the Sacred Heart and Lowell High Schools. While residing in the Sacred Heart, she was active in the parish activities, having served as a past President of the Sodality.
She had been a communicant of St. Michael Church for many years, having been a Eucharistic Minister. She also had been a member of the League of Catholic Women.
For much of her life time she was very dedicated and active in the Catholic Daughters of America, having served as a Lowell Regent, District Deputy, State Retreat Chairman and a member of the Mass Past Regent's Club. She was awarded a 35 year Catholic Daughters of America Pin for her continued active participation in the organization.
Mary Lou loved the Catholic Daughters of America and enjoyed many wonderful times with friends in that charitable organization, which gave not only to the city and state, but also on a National level.
She had been employed by Heinze Electric Company, Merrimack Magnetics Corp., and in recent years before her retirement, by Wang Labs.
Her survivors include Kiernan cousins in the Lowell area, Connecticut, So. Carolina, and Florida. She also leaves two Godsons, Terrence Kiernan of Dracut and Morgan Mitchell of So. Carolina, a dear friend, Sister M. Benigna Doherty, R.S. M., of New Hampshire and two very dear close friends, Jeanette and Robert Iby and their family of Dracut.
A special thank you to the dedicated staff at Willow Manor for the excellent care that was given to Mary Lou.
