Lowell - Mary M. (Erwin) Keefe, the beloved wife John V. "Jack" Keefe, with whom she recently celebrated 53 years of marriage, a resident of the Christian Hill section of Lowell died Saturday August 1, 2009 at the Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness.
Mary was born in Lowell, the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Rogers) Erwin and was a lifelong resident.
Prior to her retirement she was employed as a secretary for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development.
Mary was a communicant of St. Francis Parish and sang in the choir there. For numerous years along with her husband, Mary produced and assisted with the direction of several variety shows, including the St. Michael CYO Show, the St. Patrick Cultural Week Show, and recently the Franco American Week Celebration shows.
Mary was always there for her sons and supported all of their endeavors.
Surviving her besides her husband are two sons and a daughter in law, John V. Jr., and Mary Gail Keefe, David M. Keefe, all of Lowell; a granddaughter Jessica Keefe; cousins Judy and Dave Sullivan of Rye Beach, NH, Ted and Julie Rogers of Wisconsin, Charles and Dottie Erwin of Virginia Beach, VA; several nieces and nephews including her Godchild Beth Ann Keefe of Tyngsboro.
