Lowell - Mary D. Kane, 72, a lifelong resident of Lowell died Saturday at a local nursing home.
She was born in Lowell on January 15, 1935, a daughter of the late William J. and Mary Alice (Kelly) Kane.
Prior to her retirement Mary was employed as a nurses aid at the Tewksbury Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church and in earlier years was an active contributor there.
Survivors include a sister Sarah "Sally' Furnari of Dracut; a sister in law Jeannette Kane of Lowell; a brother in law Roy Santorelli of Dracut; many nieces and nephews including Gail Hubin of Lowell; several cousins including Phyllis Chase White of Lowell. She was also the sister of the late Raymond, Edward, James, William, Francis, and Joseph Kane, Margaret Graham, Agnes Santorelli, and Gertrude Unteriner.
