Mary Jane “Jean” “Buzz” (Goudreau) Daigle, 83, died surrounded by loved ones, Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Sunny Acres in Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife to the late Joseph D.A. Daigle with whom they celebrated 55 years of marriage before his death in 2011.
She was born in Lowell, MA on September 3, 1939, and was a daughter of the late Marie Jeanne (Page) and Leo Goudreau. Mary Jane and Joseph raised their nine children in Dracut. All of her children would agree that she was a one of a kind mother.
Mary Jane was a long-time parishioner of St. Therese’s Parish, now Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Church.
She enjoyed going to the Dracut Senior Center for bingo, playing skee-ball, walking the beach, listening to country music, yard sales and an occasional trip to Foxwoods. Her greatest joy however was spending time with her family and attending endless family parties.
Mary Jane will forever be known for her laughter. Her distinct and contagious laugh brought so much happiness to all who knew her. She always lit up a room with her quick witted comments and her sense of humor. She was such a funny person right up until the very end. Her generosity had no bounds and her caring disposition made everyone feel at ease.
Mary Jane is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Donna Fadden and her husband Ronald of Dracut, Pauline Zambs and her husband Clayton of Scarborough, ME, Shirley Kearns of Dracut, Susan Smith of Nashua, NH, Elaine Lefebvre of Derry, NH, David Daigle and his companion Linda of Dushore, PA, Kevin Daigle and his companion Tina Ricci of Chelmsford and Nancy Daigle of Dracut; her twelve grandchildren; her 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way; her sister, Rita Bolton and her husband Bill of Holden, MA; her best friend for over 75 years, Yvette “Snooks” St. George; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is predeceased by her son, Robert Daigle and her three brothers Roland, Bob and Gerry.
