Mary J. L. "Jackie" (Scott) Fortier, Avid Bingo Player
LOWELL - Mary J. L. "Jackie" (Scott) Fortier, 79, a longtime resident of Lowell died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of the late John T. Fortier, who died in 1997.
She was born in Lowell on February 6, 1937, and was a daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Boisvert) Scott.
Mary spent her life tending to the needs of her home and family.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Lowell.
Mary enjoyed dancing, bowling, and playing bingo.
She is survived by her five children, James Fortier of Lowell, John Fortier of Lowell, Charlotte Ayotte and her husband Richard of Raymond, NH, Ronald Fortier and his wife Laura of Lowell and Donald Fortier and his wife Kathleen O'Neil-Fortier of Lowell; eight grandchildren, James Fortier, Jr., Amanda Fortier, Jennifer Fortier, Ronald Fortier, Jr., Mike Coombs, Richard Ayotte, Jr. Jacob Fortier, and Olivia Fortier; two great grandchildren, Joshua and Phoebe; her Goddaughter, Lucille Radcliffe of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ronald Scott and Constance Larose.
