Mary (Marshall) Flanders

September 26, 1928 — January 20, 2021

Mary (Marshall) Flanders, 92, passed away with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Flanders.
Born in Westford on September 26, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Nicolay and Fedora (Tabala) Marshall.

She enjoyed the outdoors with her husband Harry, in their earlier years hunting and fishing together. Mary also enjoyed playing cards with whist and cribbage being her favorites. She also had a passion for gardening, polkas, cooking and baking and was well known for her homemade apple pies, and always brought one with her to gatherings and was well known as "The Pie Lady". Mary was an avid deep sea fisherman and loved fishing with all of her family.

Most of all Mary looked forward to all the time spent with her family, especially the grandkids.
Survivors include her two children and a daughter in law, Harry A. and Noreen Flanders, Donna Marie Martin all of Dracut; two grandchildren, Jessica Dharma Anderson and her husband Glen of Westford, Harry Holt Flanders of Manchester, NH; two great grandchildren, Benjamin Kirkpatrick Anderson and Kai Joseph Anderson. She was the sister of the late Theodora Staples, Luba Crook, and Dorothy Heighes.

Committal prayers and burial in the Russian Brotherhood Cemetery, Westford will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
