Martin J. "Mickey" Finn

September 21, 1928 — September 5, 2017

Lowell-  Martin J. "Mickey" Finn, Jr., 88, a resident of the Christian Hill neighborhood in the city of Lowell, died Tuesday, September 5th, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family and close friends.  He was the husband of the late Ann (Brennan) Finn whom he was married to for 53 years.
Born in Lowell on September 21, 1928, he was the son of the late Martin and Margaret (Lannan) Finn and was raised in the Acre section of Lowell.
He attended St. Patrick's Elementary School and was a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1946. Mickey proudly served in the United States Navy following the conclusion of World War II.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church, a member of Holy Name Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society and a lifetime member of the East End Club.
He was employed for 47 years at the Courier Citizen Corporation in Lowell where he retired from. He spent 50 years coaching Centralville Little League, where he was honored with the naming of Martin Mickey Finn Baseball Field. He was awarded the Fred Ebbet Award by the Massachusetts Baseball League for his years of dedication to coaching.  
Mickey enjoyed spending vacations at Seabrook Beach with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends, and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Mickey is survived by his nine sons, Bob Finn of Lowell and his children Meghan and Kaitlyn, Larry Finn and his wife Suzanne of Lowell, and their children Micaela, Lily and Adelia, Jack Finn and his wife Phyllis of Tyngsboro and their children Casey and his wife Sarah, and Brady and his girlfriend Jillian Dooley, Billy Finn and his wife Cheryl of Billerica and their children Anthony, Marialayna and Matthew, James Finn and his wife MaryBeth of Lowell and their daughter Erin, Timothy Finn and his wife Amy of Sandwich, Ma and their children Brennan and Connor, Mark Finn of Lowell, Daniel Finn and his wife Traci of Lowell and their children Aidan, Evan, Danielle and Nora,  and Eric Finn of Lowell and his girlfriend Kerri McFadden and their daughter Teagan; three daughters, Maryjo Finn Ryan of Lowell, Martha Finn of Lowell and Colleen "Cookie" Finn of Dracut and her children Ryan and Brittany; two great grandchildren Julianna and Colin Finn; his beloved sister and lifelong friend Patricia Finn of Lowell, his sister-in-law Patricia (Blazonis) Finn of Seabrook, NH; his brother-in-law Eugene "Fuzzy" Fissette of Dracut; his godchildren Susan Finn Glasheen of Hudson, NH and Dawn Whitten. He was the father of the late Joseph Finn.  He was predeceased by his siblings Dorothy Newell, Virginia Finn, Lillian Sweatt, Peachie Desmond, and William R. Finn.
