NASHUA, NH - Marion J. (Farren) Brouillette, 72, a resident of Nashua, NH for the last several years, died Saturday evening, May 23, 2009 surrounded by her family, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington. She was the wife of the late Normand R. Brouillette.
Born in Dorchester on November 19, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Frederick W. and Alice Louise (McDermott) Farren.
Mrs. Brouillette was a graduate of Cardinal Cushing Central High School in South Boston and completed her R.N. training at the former St. Joseph's School of Nursing.
She was employed by the Soloman Mental Health Center of Lowell for over 20 years, her last position as R.N. Supervisor.
A former resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, she had been a communicant of St. Rita Church.
Marion will be remembered fondly for her love of cards and board games of all types. In earlier days she could be found at whist parties with her twin sister or playing canasta late into the night with one of her children. In more recent years her passion brought her closer to her grandchildren as they spent their younger years playing with her.
She is survived by her four children, Kathleen Tyler and her husband Alan of Portsmouth, R.I., Ronald E. Brouillette of Nashua, NH and his former wife Carol Brouillette of Nashua, NH, Robert L. Brouillette and his wife Judy of Hudson, NH and John F. Brouillette and his wife Aline of Hudson, NH; a brother, Frederick Farren of New York, NY; six grandchildren, Arthur and Nicholas Tyler, Kristen, Michael, Kate and Amber Brouillette; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William Sherburne of Mansfield, Betty Farren of CA, Edward and Jackie Brouillette of Dracut, Sr. Doris Brouillette s.g.c of Lowell, Philip Brouillette; many nieces and nephews.
