Marie A.B. Bertha (Le Clair) Clement, 97, of the SAAB Residence in Lowell, enetered into eternal rest on Wednesday December 7, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Harvey J. Clement.
Marie was born in Lowell on October 10, 1919, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Daigle) Le Clair.
During WWII Marie assisted in the war effort working as a riveter for the Pratt Whitney Company in Connecticut. When she returned she worked in the Lowell Mills for many years, and retired from the former St. John's Hospital where she worked in the laundry department.
In her leisure Marie enjoyed playing cards, especially Kings in the Corner, a game she taught her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Marie's family would like to express their gratitude to the caring and loving staff at the Merrimack River Valley House and the SAAB Residence for all of the wonderful care they provided.
Marie is survived by her loving daughter and son in law, Shirley and Al Torrisi of Palm Coast, FL and Salisbury Beach; two beloved grandchildren, Kristina Greco and her husband Christopher of Ponte Vedra, FL, Brian Torrisi and his wife Kimberly of Needham; six adored and cherished great grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan, Matthew and Luke Greco, Ryan and Regan Torrisi; a sister, Rita Noel of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Georgette "Cookie" Quattrochi, Marie "Pearl" MacNeal, Rene, Roger, and Leo Le Clair.
