Marie Yvonne Carpentier

Dracut - Marie Yvonne (Martineau) Carpentier, 84, a Dracut resident, died Saturday July 28, at the Saints Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Edward M. Carpentier with whom she would have celebrated 58 years of marriage this December 31st.
Born in Lowell on May 30, 1923, a daughter of the late Phillip and Marie Louise (Martineau) Martineau.
Mrs. Carpentier was a graduate of St. Louis School and Lowell Trade School. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a cement machine operator for the former Phyllis Shoe. Marie Yvonne was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church and currently St. Francis Parish in Dracut. She was a member of the St. Anthony Guild since 1949 and the Sacred Heart League since 1950.
Survivng her besides her husband are a daughter, Gloria Carpentier of Dracut; a son and daughter in law Richard and Joanna Carpentier of Westford; three brothers and two sisters in law, Robert and Rose Martineau of Dracut, Al Martineau and his friend Lee Roberge of Mt. Vernon, NH, Paul and Theresa Martineau of Dracut; two grandchildren Richard Carpentier, Jr., Kelly Carpentier; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late CPL Raymond Martineau, USMC, Ann Martineau, Sr. Ida Martineau, S.G.C., Bertha Bouchard, and Irene Dubey, George Martineau, and Marie Taft.
