Maribel Quinones

LOWELL - Maribel Quinones, age 56, a longtime resident of Lowell died Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Boston Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Luis A. Torres, to whom she has been married for nine years.

She was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico on August 1, 1962, and was a daughter of Gloria (Alvarado) Quinones and the late Jose Antonio Quinones.

Prior to her illness, Maribel was employed for many years as a housekeeping supervisor at Lowell General Hospital.

Maribel was loved and will be missed by all that knew her. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and would brighten any room that she walked into. She was always happy and lived life to the fullest. She was the rock of her family and would act as a surrogate mother to many others in her life. She would do anything for anyone in need and she would never expect anything in return.

Maribel was the life of the party and loved to dance and listen to music. She was a great cook and baker and she enjoyed decorating and gardening. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time in the company of her loving family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Alfredo Rodriguez of Lowell; two daughters, Marisol Irizarry and her fiance' Domingo Cruz and Claribel Irizarry and her fiancé Gerald Rudy, all of Lowell; her niece, who was like a daughter to her, Luz Denise Baptista of Boston; five grandchildren, Jayleen Rudy, Marcus Rosa, Jayliana Olivo, Yazlin Cruz, and Gisele Rudy; eight brothers and sisters, Carmen Iris, Luz Nereida, Norma Estel, Gloria Marie, Luz Elenia, Sonia Janet, Linda Lee, and Luis Antonio Quinones; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was also the sister of the late Jose Antonio Quinones.

ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends are invited to attend Maribel's Life Celebration at MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street in Lowell on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret Church in Lowell.
