LOWELL - Maria G. Kliros, 75, a lifelong resident of Lowell died Friday, January 27, 2017 at Willow Manor Nursing Home in Lowell.
She was born in Lowell on July 14, 1941, and was a daughter of the late Athan and Anna (Kalorgeropoulous) Kliros. She received her education in Lowell schools.
Prior to her retirement, Maria was employed for many years as a nursing assistant for several local nursing homes.
She was a talented artist and she loved to cook and bake, especially pies and breads. Maria had a great love for animals, especially her cats that she had throughout the years, including her current cat Goldie, who was the love of her life. She had a great love and devotion for her family, especially her mother and she always put others before herself.
Maria was a model in her younger years and was always known for her sense of style and always having her makeup and hair perfect.
She is survived by her sister and best friend, Katherine Kliros, with whom she lived; and her cousins, Linda Burke and her husband Rick and Alice Paudrups and her husband Marty, all of Anniston, AL. She was also the sister of the late Theodore, Louis and Nicholas Kliros.
Maria's family would like to thank the staff and residents of Willow Manor for their care, compassion, and friendship that they gave to her throughout her stay. They would also like to thank the emergency department at Lowell General Hospital - Saints Campus,Trinity EMS, and Pulse EMS for their care and kindness.
