Maria Brum

Maria Brum, age 53, passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, March 9th at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born on May 25, 1967 in Ponta Garça, São Miguel, Azores Portugal and grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts. She was a daughter of the late Louis Tavares Brum and Maria (Correia) Brum.
She was employed by Digestive Health Specialists in Chelmsford for 17 years.
Maria was a kind and giving person. She was happiest when being outdoors and enjoyed camping with her family, sitting by a fire, spending time with friends at the lake, and her favorite place the beach. She found great peace and happiness along the water and enjoyed feeding the birds. She had a very special relationship with her granddaughter and loved spending time with her.
She had the biggest heart and carried a deep love for family, friends, children, and animals. She would always be there for anyone who needed her most.
Maria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maggie and Adam Cote; her granddaughter Lila Cote; her sisters, Angelina Brum, Maria Da Luz Fernandes, Goretti Fernandes, and Luisa Fernandes; her brothers Michael Brum and Louis Fernandes; her best friend Helia Medeiros and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.
She was also the sister of the late Louis Brum, Manuel Brum, and Daniel Brum.
She will be missed by her family, her many friends, and colleagues.
It being her wish, there will be no services. The family thanks everyone for all the love and support.
