Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister
DRACUT - Marguerite (Florence) Hogan, a Dracut resident for the last several years, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Ernest T. Hogan with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on November 18, 1946, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Agnes (Collins) Florence.
She was a graduate of Keith Hall High School, Class of 1964.
Marguerite was a longtime resident of the Centralville section of Lowell and a lifelong communicant of St. Michael Church. For many years she ran the St. Michael School Lunch Program making sure that every student received a healthy lunch and a warm smile and that no student ever went hungry.
She enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports, vacationing in Maine and Florida, and the occasional trip to the casino with Ernie, Dick, and Bern.
Her greatest joy was being Nana to her 6 loving grandchildren, Meghan, Emma, Kiley, Rylie, Brady Hogan and Grace McCauley.
In addition to her husband Ernie and grandchildren, she leaves three children, Kristen Hogan and her fiancé, Richard McCauley, E. Timothy Hogan and his longtime girlfriend, Christine Joubert, all of Tyngsboro and J. Ryan Hogan and his wife Beth (McDermott) of Pelham, NH; four siblings, John F. Florence, Jr. and his wife Catherine of Lowell, Richard Florence and his wife Kipper of Bridgewater, William Florence and his wife Christine of Lowell and Mary Morin and her longtime boyfriend Scott Wozniakowski of Seabrook, NH; also several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her dear friends, Bernadette and Richard Poirier of Lowell. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law Philip W. Morin, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to Marguerite’s Life Celebration on Monday, June 12, from 4 until 8 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, June 13, at 11 AM in St. Michael Church. Burial will be private.
