Marguerite J. (St. Hilaire) Croteau, 85, widow of Philip Croteau, a Dracut resident, died Thursday January 4, 2007 at the Lowell General Hospital.
She was born in Lowell on June 6, 1921 a daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice (St. Hilaire) St. Hilaire.
Mrs. Croteau was an avid gardener, a gourmet cook, and enjoyed reading in her free time.
Survivors include a sister, Theresa Champagne of Dracut; a son in law Paul Romary of Roslindale; several nieces and nephews, including her godchild Lise Busby of Mission Viejo, CA; many longtime friends especially Barbara Rose of Marblehead and Richard Robillard of Nashua, NH. She was the mother of the late Philip Croteau who died in November 2006, and sister of the late Norman, Arthur and Marcel St. Hilaire.
