Dracut - Margaret M. "Peggy"(Doyle) White, a Dracut resident, and the beloved wife of William G. White, with whom she celebrated 49 years of marriage this past August, died Thursday September 2, 2010 following an extended illness , with her family at her side. She was 81.
Born in Cambridge on October 26, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph G. and Kathlyn M. (O'Brien) Doyle.
Prior to her retirement, Peggy was employed as a secretary. She was a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Parish where she was a member of the ladies Sodality. Currently she was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish.
Peggy also volunteered at the former St. John's Hospital. Most of all she was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and her church.
Surviving her besides her husband are three children and their spouses, Dr. Kathleen and Jennifer White of Waltham, William, Jr. and Donna White, Gerri and Russell Carney all of Dracut; four grandchildren, Danielle and Kristen White, Meghan and Kevin Carney; a brother, Richard Doyle of Londonderry, NH; two sisters, Pat Cooper of Manassus, VA, Betty Kelleher of Chelmsford; and several nieces and nephews.
