Margaret E. “Peggy” (Boyle) Perrin, a long-time resident of Tewksbury, formerly of Lowell and beloved wife of the late Maurice L. “Moe” Perrin, died surrounded by family on Monday, March 18, 2024. She was 86 years old.
Born in Lowell on June 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George J. Boyle, Sr. and the late Doris (Scott) Gradilone.
Peggy attended the Lowell School systems and graduated from Lowell High in 1954. She went on to become a secretary and also worked in electronics before becoming a mother.
Peggy met Moe in 1964 and they went on to raise four children and were inseparable for 57 years. She was a member of the East End Social Club in Lowell for 40 years, where she worked part time as a waitress for many of those. She was also on their women’s auxiliary board.
Peggy loved to dance and socialize and had many friends with whom her and Moe would vacation with on cruises and to different islands. She also loved to play Texas Hold’em and 5-card poker every chance she could at family gatherings and she was quite good at it.
Peggy’s heart was as big as the world and she had a unique sense of humor. Her famous saying was “and this too shall pass,” which was always sound advice. She loved visiting her large family and would always show up extra early to help. She was known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Nana, Nana Perrin and Grampy Mouse’s Nana.
In her later years, Peggy suffered from dementia but still managed to keep her sense of humor when she saw fit. She will truly be missed.
Surviving Peggy are her three sons, David Perrin and his wife Jill of Nashua, NH, Ronny Perrin of Lowell and Stephen Perrin and his wife Tanya of Tyngsboro; her only daughter, Alyson DiTucci and her husband Ralph of Dracut; her sisters, Joan David of Milford, NH, Sandra Boyle of Nashua, NH and Gayle Kennedy of Milford, NH; her brothers, Gerard Boyle of Sacramento, CA, the late Thomas Boyle of Avondale, PA, the late George F. Boyle, Jr. of Merritt Island, FL and the late Robert Boyle of Adrian, Michigan; her 15 grandchildren, Jodi, Thomas, Kristin, Nicole, Christopher, Danielle, Keri, Courtney, Ashley, Tayler, Jason, Dominique, Joshua, Amanda and Cameron; along with 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
