ESSEX, MA - Margaret I. (Small) Murphy, 97, wife of the late William H. Murphy, died Monday, May 31, 2004 at her residence in Essex, MA.
Born in New Bedford, MA on July 25, 1906, she was a daughter of the late Stephen P. and Mary E. (Farren) Small.
A former resident of Hildreth Street in Dracut, MA, she had been a communicant of St. Michael Church in Lowell, MA. While residing in Essex she had attended St. John the Baptist Church in Essex.
She is survived by two nieces, Edith A. Burke of Essex, MA and Margery Neal of Healdsburg, CA; many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the sister of the late Mary, Edith, Florence and William.
