Margaret A. Lyons

Margaret  A. “Peggy” (Ogden) Lyons, 72, of Lowell, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Peggy was the beloved wife to Guy T. Lyons, for 47 beautiful years.

She was born in Lowell on August 14, 1950 and was the daughter of the late Muriel D. (Powers) and Richard H. Ogden.

Peggy graduated from Lowell High School, Class of 1968. She worked in the Lowell school system, doing what she loved, working with pre-school children. She and her husband were also proud Foster Parents, to many children, over the years.

Peggy loved all arts and crafts, sewing and baking as well as spending many summers at their family's cottage on lake Massapoag. She was known for her amazing chocolate chip cookie recipe and loved all musicals, including some of her favorites, Grease, any Elvis movie and Carousel.

In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by her two children, Lindsay Lyons and her fiancé Roger Marcotte and Cheyenna Lyons; her three beautiful grandchildren, Emily, A.J. and Matthew; her brother, Danny Ogden and his wife Janice; her two sister-in-laws, Deborah and Debbie Ogden; as well as many beloved, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Derek Lyons and the sister of the late Rev. Anthony Ogden and Frank Ogden.

Relatives and friends are invited to Peggy’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 4 until 6 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell.
