Margaret E. "Peggy" (Allen) Grimshaw

Margaret E. "Peggy" (Allen) Grimshaw passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2011, at a local healthcare facility at the age of 86.
Born in Lowell on November 29, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Orien and Margaret (Feeney) Allen.
In her early years she was a "mill girl".
She married her husband Francis W. Grimshaw on September 1, 1946 and they were married for 52 years before he passed away on November 29, 1998.
They resided in the Christian Hill area where they had eight children.
Mrs. Grimshaw was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
Margaret is survived by her four sons and their spouses, Francis E. and Deborah, David L. and Gail and Kevin Grimshaw, all of Lowell, and Mark F. and Tracey Grimshaw of Epping, NH; three daughters and their spouses, Margaret M. and Brad Merrill, Deborah J. and Brian Kilbride and Donna M. and Joseph Davis, all of Lowell; a son-in-law, Robert Foss of Pepperell. She had 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and was expecting another great grandchild this Christmas. She is also survived by one brother, Paul Allen and two sisters-in-law, Marion Grimshaw and Dorothy Bancroft, all of Lowell; also numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughters, Catherine M. Foss and Dale Grimshaw and by four brothers, Orien, Raymond, Charles and Richard Allen. She was also predeceased by her sister-in-law and dear friend, Mary Allen.
