Lowell - Margaret D. (Gilbride) Gilbert, a lifelong resident of Centralville, died Wednesday May 11, 2005 at age 85.
She was born in Lowell on April 5, 1920, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Laffey) Gilbride.
Margaret was educated at St. Michael's School and Lowell High School class of 1939. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church all of her life and held membership in The Legion of Mary, and was a member of the Centralville Senior Citizen Club. She worked at Jampa Mfg for many years and was also a hostess for many years at the former Coq' Dor restaurant in Dracut.
Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Maureen and Frank Cluff of Lowell, Linda and Michael Daly of Hampton,NH; two sons, Dan and Andrea (Orsini) Gilbert, of Hampton, NH, Mark and Judy (Borodawka) Gilbert of Dracut; nine grandchildren, Jay, Dale, and Ian Cluff, David and Jeffrey Gilbert, Joshua and Justin Gilbert, Matt and Melissa Daly; four great grandchildren, Alycia, Alyson, Abigail and Lillian Cluff; two sisters, Alice Fotopoulos and Doris Grenier both of Lowell; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Raymond, Charles, Robert and William Gilbride.
