Lowell- Margaret M. (Hurley) Favreau, 83, wife of Alfred R. Favreau, died after a very brief illness on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at the Saints Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Lowell on December 24, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Margaret (Kelley) Hurley. She was employed at C R Bard where she made medical stints and worked many years at the former St. John's Hospital in the coffee shop.
A communicant of St Michael Church, she was a former prefect of the Holy Rosary Sodality and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was active in the Lowell Senior Center. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and other crafts and had recently signed up for a quilting class. She also enjoyed watching baseball and other sports. She will be remembered for her great hospitality .
Surviving her along with her husband are a daughter, Sister Charlene Favreau CSJ of Brighton, who is the Director of Admissions and Student activities at the Jackson School Sponsored Ministry of Sisters of Saint Joseph; two sisters, Bernadette Fletcher and one of her triplets, Grace Hurley, both of Lowell; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John T. Hurley, Dolores Wholey and her triplet sister, Estelle Hurley.
