LOWELL - Margaret R. "Peggy" "Memere" (Montbleau) Brodeur, 90, a lifelong resident of Lowell passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 7, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Lucien L. Brodeur, whom she was married to for 34 years until his passing in 1984.
Peggy was born in Lowell on July 28, 1926 to the late John and Delia (Maroney) Montbleau.
She retired from Prince Macaroni Manufacturing Company after over 25 years of service. Shortly after retirement, Peggy volunteered for The Foster Grandparents Program with Community Teamwork Inc. at the Shaughnessy School in Lowell.
Peggy loved to dance and was an avid bingo player, but her greatest joy came from hanging out with her loving family.
She leaves behind her daughter, Karen Ralls and her husband Ron; four sons, David Brodeur and his late wife Sheryle, Lucien Brodeur, and his wife Gail, Robert Brodeur, and Mark Brodeur and his wife Laurie; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; her sister, Pauline Welch and her husband George Welch; one step-sister, Linda Russo and her husband Vincent; and several nieces and nephews.
