Marc J. Vaillancourt, a resident of Danvers, formerly of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Thursday October 17, 2013, at the Lahey Medical Center in Peabody with his family by his side. He was 50.
Marc was born in Lowell on September 1, 1963, a son of the late Ernest C. and Lorraine C. (Corcoran) Vaillancourt.
He was a communicant of St. Margaret Church while living in Lowell.
Marc enjoyed people and loved to engage in conversation. In his youth he was an avid basketball player who followed the Celtics along with the Red Sox and Patriots.
Marc took pleasure in playing bingo and poker and appreciated a good scratch ticket. He looked forward to his family trips to Foxwoods Resort and Old Orchard Beach, ME.
Marc enjoyed music and looked forward to singing karaoke, in shows, or at family outings and parties. He treasured being a member of 'The Band'. Another favorite pastime was eating. He took pleasure in all kinds of food.
Family was paramount to Marc. They describe him as friendly, funny, and loyal to his faith. His brothers and sister were an influence in his life and he enjoyed a close relationship with them.
Survivors include five siblings and their spouses, Daniel R. Vaillancourt of Chelmsford, David E. and Nancy Vaillancourt of Tyngsboro, Normand A. Vaillancourt of Lowell, Thomas A. and Dorene Vaillancourt of Salisbury, Diane L. and Robert Fenn of Dunstable; nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Jarrett Bergeron, Amy Vaillancourt, Chelsey Fenn, Matthew Fenn, Jacob Vaillancourt, Thomas Vaillancourt, Lorry Vaillancourt; a great nephew Kaden Bergeron; along with extended family Michelle Gray and Jazz Guirand.
