DRACUT – M. Virginia (Cossette) Dailey, 84, a resident of Dracut, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at a local health care facility with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Dailey, Jr.
Born in Lowell, MA on September 12, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Arthur P. and Mary (Gill) Cossette.
Mrs. Dailey was a graduate of St. Michael Parochial School and Keith Hall Catholic High School.
She retired from the Modern Floor Company in Lowell where she worked as a bookkeeper, and had been previously employed by the town of Dracut in the assessor's office.
She was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Tyngsboro, MA.
Mrs. Dailey leaves five sons, Joseph A. "Jad" Dailey of Dracut, MA, James F. Dailey and his life partner Ronald F. Mauriello of Wakefield, MA, Arthur P. Dailey and his wife Bessy of Derry, NH, Commander Thomas M. Dailey, USN and his wife Donna of Fleming Island, FL and Edward M. Dailey and his life partner Elizabeth Haarlander of Manchester, NH; a sister, Dolores Paquin of Lowell, MA; 9 grandchildren, Joey, Erin, Timothy, Michael, Tiffanie, Ashley, Alex, Amber and Fiona; 3 great grandchildren, Ethan, Conor and Doree; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Dailey of WI and Patricia Dailey of Lowell, MA; also several nieces and nephews. She was the mother-in-law of the late Doreen Dailey, sister-in-law of the late William Paquin, Francis M. Dailey and Charles R. Dailey.
