Lyle D. "Skip" Bennett, Jr., the devoted husband of Gloria M. (Menard) Bennett, a resident of Hudson, NH, formerly of Lowell died unexpectedly on Monday July 22, 2013 at Lahey Clinic. He was 64 years old.
Skip, the oldest of eight children, was born in Lowell on September 5, 1948, son of the late Lyle D., Sr. and Dolores (Tessier) Bennett.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the Navy. Skip attended the former University of Lowell and ITT Technical Institute where he studied electrical engineering.

He was a lifetime member of the Lowell VFW Walker-Rogers Post 662 and the American Legion.
Skip was a self described man's man. He had many interests and hobbies. Whether it was playing golf, deep sea fishing, tending to his garden or just puttering around his house, he always found time for his family. He would enjoy traveling to the beach, Florida, Las Vegas, California, or taking a cruise with his beloved Gloria, his wife of 41 years.
Skip loved to jump on his Harley on a Sunday and take a ride at any given moment. He was a devoted football fan who transformed his living room into football central on Sunday's, but he always made time to watch his grandchildren play sports and other extracurricular activities.
Most of all Skip cherished his family and time spent with them. He was a loving, and devoted man who was always there when someone needed him. His family will always recall his humor, intelligence and dedication. Everyone will truly miss this confident husband, father, brother, and friend.
