Lucille (Chouinard) Lacourse, 78, of Dracut passed away May 23, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lacourse was born in Lowell on February 15, 1932, the youngest daughter and twelfth child of Zenon and Alvina (Gagnon) Chouinard. She was the widow of Robert Lacourse who died on June 9, 1988. They were married for 36 years.
Although Aunt Lu had no children of her own, she had 38 nieces and nephews along with 84 grand nieces and nephews who considered her a very special part of their lives. She took them skiing, to the drive-in movies, the beach and was always there when they needed her.
Lucille worked in Lowell as a dental assistant for Dr. Edward Barbagallo for twenty five years.
She is survived by her brother, George Chouinard and his wife, Cecile of Dracut; two sisters, Doris Noel of Chelmsford, Juliette Doyle of Dracut; a brother-in-law, B. Joseph Tully of Dracut; her Godchildren, Michelle Desmarais, John Doyle and Phillip Tully all of Dracut and Brenda Lamarre of Lowell. She also leaves her dearest friend Jackie Brady of Lowell and Steven Wasylak, who like a son, was always there for her.
Lucille was the sister of the late Irene Lamarre, Rita Lalime, Estelle Bisson, Yvette Trouville, Eileen Richards, Cecile Thibodeau, Dorothy Shannon and Annette Tully.
