Lucille P. (Tellier) Bourassa

Lucille P. (Tellier) Bourassa, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell and beloved wife of the late Marcel A. Bourassa died at the Lowell General Hospital on Sunday January 11, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was 87.

Born in Lowell on August 13, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Emileanna (Gagnon) Tellier.

Lucille attended Ste Jeanne d'Arc School and St. Joseph High School. She graduated from Lowell Academy for hairdressing.

Lucille was employed as a seamstress at Ideal Dress for many years and later worked in the housekeeping department at the former St. John's Hospital for 12 years.
She was a communicant of St. Rita Parish and was a member of the PTA at the former St. Joseph High School.

Lucille loved the beach and would spend many summers at Hampton Beach with Marcel. She loved dancing and long walks with him.
Her family remembers all of the clothes she would make for them and the babysitting she would do for all of her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

In her earlier years she worked with her siblings at their father's store, Cabot Cash Market.

Lucille's children describe her as a generous, considerate person who was always giving of herself, never asking for anything in return.

Surviving her are her children and their spouses, Suzanne M. and Rene Hardy of Lowell, Lawrence W. and Dolores Bourassa of Dracut, Michael and Pauline Bourassa of Nashua, NH, Donald C. Bourassa and Fiancé Laurice Achin both of Lowell, Dennis R. and Debra Bourassa of Dracut, Reginald E. and Susan Bourassa of Haverhill, Marcella A. and David Maine of Lowell; sisters and brothers and their spouses, Jeannette Therriault of Lowell, Anita Matte of Dracut, John And Nancy Tellier of Meredith, NH, Marietta and Clarence Marhefka of Westward, Jeanne Midgley of N. Chelmsford, Theresa Perin of FL, Richard and Joanne Tellier of Pelham, NH, Rachel Ferris of Merrimack, NH; a sister in law Cecile Tellier of Pelham, NH; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Robert Tellier.
