Dracut - Lucien J. Hall, 87, passed away at his Dracut residence on December 26, 2021, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.
Lucien was the beloved husband of Theresa (Graham) Hall with whom he celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on September 6th.
Born in Dracut on April 22, 1934, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Rose (Couture) Hall. He was raised in Dracut and remained a lifelong resident.
Lucien was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for his heroic service. As a member of Company C, 17th Infantry, on July 9th, 1953, Corporal Hall moved through devastating enemy fire making numerous trips up and down a steep, muddy hill carrying many wounded men from the battle to the medics and returning for others. The outstanding actions of Corporal Hall were directly responsible for the saving of several lives with his quick and efficient evacuation.
Lucien retired from Wang Laboratories where he was employed as a data base administrator. He was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Lowell for many years.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends, children and grandchildren in Wells, Maine. Lucien (Papa) was an avid sports fan who loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Countless hours were spent in his sunroom in Dracut cheering on the New England sports teams with his family. Papa was the true definition of a loving family man.
Surviving Lucien besides his wife Theresa are his three children, Guy Hall of Lake Elsinore, CA, Ellen Fairman and her husband James of Athol, LuAnne Hagerty and her husband Timothy of Dracut; six grandchildren, Sean Hall of CA, Kyle Hall of Lake Elsinore, CA, Jonathan Lane of Lowell, Emily Nardiello and her husband Matthew of Devens, Tyler Peloquin of Concord, NH, Connor Hagerty of Dracut; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilfred and Arlene Hall of Florida, Gerard and Charlotte Hall of Westford, Roger and Sandra Hall of Litchfield, NH; a sister, Patricia Welch of Dracut; two sisters-in-law Doris Hall of Dracut, Julie Hall of Lowell. He was also the brother of the late Clifford, Robert, Donald, Ruth and Richard Hall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Lucien's Funeral Mass to be Celebrated on Thursday morning, Dec. 30, at 11 AM in St. Michael Church, 543 Bridge St., Lowell. Burial will be private.
