Louise D. (Dupont) Tardiff

Louise D. (Dupont) Tardiff, a Dracut resident, widow of Raymond A. Tardiff, died on Monday January 27, 2014 at the Lowell General Hospital with her daughters and son-in-law by her side. She was 86.
She was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on March 5, 1927, a daughter of the late Ernest and Yvonne (Rochette) Dupont.
Louise was a graduate of the former St. Joseph High School. After her secretarial training she became employed at Fort Devens. She also worked as a medical secretary at Medical Associates in Nashua, NH as well as the Dracut School Department. She was formerly a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish.
Louise enjoyed knitting and sewing. She took great pleasure in cooking and to her daughters she was known as "the best cook in the world". Louise even authored and edited a cookbook. She loved camping and travel of any kind.
Survivors include two daughters and a son in law, Lou Ann Wright of Reston, VA, Susan and Dennis Dufresne of Dracut; four grandchildren, Megan Prior and her husband Gregory, Matthew Wright, Bradford Dufresne, Renee Martinez and her husband George; four great grandchildren, Gabriel Wright, Donald Prior, Julian Martinez, Linda Louise Prior; and soon to be great grandchild Adrian Martinez. She was also the mother in law of the late Donald H. Wright.
