Louise C. (Petullo) Schiripo, 91, the wife of the late Renaldo D. Schiripo who died in 1991, died Sunday at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Lowell on January 20, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Gabriel and Madeline (Ruffo) Petullo and was educated in the Lowell schools. She resided in Dracut and was a communicant of St. Francis Church. Louise possessed a deep love for her family and her three grandchildren and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Her nieces and nephews were also close to her heart. She spent countless hours hand making raviolis for all the Holiday dinners keeping her Italian traditions alive with all. She rarely missed sending a card to a family member whether it was a birthday, anniversary or get well wishes. Louise enjoyed traveling with friends and relatives and was an avid bingo player at many of the local church bingo games.
Louise is survived by a son, Richard D. Schiripo and his partner Diane Fadden of Dracut; a daughter, Debra Saffie and her husband Gary of Dracut; three grandchildren, Jared, Jillian and Megan Saffie of Dracut; a brother, Anthony Petullo and his wife Lucy of Lowell; her sister in law, Jeannie Schiripo of Dracut; dear friends, Eleanor Grossi of Lowell and Toni Kelleher of Dracut and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Louise was also the sister of the late, Angelo, Joseph, Michael, Nicholas and Rita Petullo and Olly Sutcliffe.
The Schiripo family would also like to acknowledge the Paquette family for their friendship and assistance through the years.
