Louise M. (Dodier) Lemire, 87, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Leon Lemire who died March 14, 2010.
Born in Canada on October 26, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Rose Aime (Rousseau) Dodier.
Mrs. Lemire was employed as an assembler for Spraco of Nashua, NH until her retirement in 1990. Following her retirement, she spent many hours with her grandchildren when they were born creating a lasting, loving relationship.
She was a member of the Women's Club of St. Rita Parish and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and doing crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Lemire loved her dog Princess and her bird, to whom she spoke fluent French.
Above all things, quality time spent with her grandchildren was the most important part of her life.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Francine and Roger Morrissette of Lowell; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Morrissette and his wife Amanda of Lowell, Stephanie Morrissette of Lowell and Michael Lemire of NH; two sisters, Jeannine McKinnon of Dracut and Albertine Desruisseaux of Canada; also several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Andre Lemire, mother-in-law of the late Gloria Lemire and sister of the late Rose Alma Rodrigue and Rosilda Laplante.
